Small, wheel-thrown, verdigris green bowl whose exterior is covered with tiny, raised, black dots. I applied each dot individually and by hand, which takes a while. The finish looks like turquoisey green, oxidized copper. The form itself looks like a guanábana or soursop (Google it). The gunanábana is one in a series of pieces that have this special studded finish. The piece itself is one of a kind, a painstaking labor of love. Signed. High-fired stoneware.

Clay color: White
Glaze: Verdigris (a matte copper turquoise green)
Dimensions: Diameter: 5” / Height: 3.75”

** Additional information about the proper care of ceramics **

My ceramics are food-, oven- and microwave safe. However, verdigris glaze, while completely safe, does not tend to look good if you get citrus juice (or vinegar, or other acidic substances) on it. It might leave behind a slight “ghost” mark. Thus it’s better to use this bowl for containing dry items. Wash with warm soapy water and dry the piece by hand as it is gentler on the glaze surface.
