A lumbering little black bear, at home in the forest or at home with you. He is an inquisitive sort, ambling through the woods in search of berries and other vegetation, hardly ever the carnivore he is branded as. He can even be spotted on roadsides, his face buried in dandelions, or after a long winter's nap using bright yellow skunk cabbage to wake up his digestive system. He loves to paw the ground with his furry feet in search of insects, but he can quickly climb a tree if he senses danger. At this time of year he is sometimes seen wandering the river banks in search of tasty salmon migrating up stream, such as in this photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kvp/6174271460.
This soft sculpture measures about 7" long from nose to tail, and stands 5" tall to the tip of his ear. He is carefully hand stitched from repurposed black wool and stuffed with locally sourced alpaca fleece. He is embellished with natural dyed silk, alpaca fleece and a little bit of suede for the pads of his feet.
This piece is made and stored in a pet free / smoke free home.
