This quilt is fully reversible, you are practically getting 2 quilts in one, with a very different pattern and a new colour scheme on the back.
I used a mixture of reds pinks browns and blues from the Blush collection by Basic Grey on the quilt top, which makes this quilt ideal as a Valentne's Day gift for a young woman or as a gift for a little girl. On the back I used organic fabric from the Monaco line by Monaluna in Turquoise, greens and pinks with a splash of brown. The monaco line is very cute with little scooters and birds in some of the designs.
The quilting is done in straight diagonal lines to give this quilt a lovely texture but at the same time make it more fluffy and soft.
This quilt could also be used thrown over a couch or armchair or as a decorative piece on your bed, or used as a lapquilt.
It has not been washed as I wanted to leave it to its new owner to decide the look. Washing creates a more antique wrinkled effect that I like, but others may not.
This quilt will brighten up any home to be used for years to come.
