I say they make beautiful pieces of jewelry! Each acorn is made by me, using soft glasses that may include Double Helix, Moretti, Lauscha, Vetrofond, TAG, CIM and more. After each piece is formed, it is placed in a pre-heated, digitally controlled kiln to ensure strength and durability.
Once the bead is cleaned using a diamond tip dremel, a hand formed copper eyelet is made and inserted into the top. Then the acorn is prepped for electroforming. After the acorn has had an 8-10 hoar soak.... it comes out with a shiny little copper top. A slight patina is given to the cap which is then sealed with a jeweler’s finish. Since this is copper, it may patina a little more over time which adds to the uniqueness of each piece.

I will include a jump ring so you can immediately add this to any chain, leather or cord necklace, or to a beautiful silk ribbon (ribbons in photo are not included).

You are purchasing a unique work of art. I handcraft each lampwork focal using a torch, glass and an assortment of tools. No two pieces are ever identical.
Remember that colors will vary from monitor to monitor. I've tried to represent my lampwork glass pieces as close to reality as I can by taking photos in natural light whenever possible.
I thoroughly inspect all of my glass pieces to ensure there are no flaws or cracks.
