I love the contrast of warm copper with these pale azure glass beads! I stamped the little copper rings with a floral pattern. Then I antiqued them twice, once to bring out the pattern, and a second time to bring them up to a rich burnished glow. Then they spent a few hours in the tumbler acquiring a brilliant shine. I wired on petite "glass tile" beads in a pale azure, and solid copper round beads with a "bird's nest" technique, and hung them from hand-formed earwires. Finally, everything has been sealed with a protective lacquer, including the earwires, to preserve the patina and shine, and inhibit sensitivity.
They're about 1 and 1/4" long. The rings are about 5/8" across, slightly smaller than a US dime.
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR THESE WHILE SWIMMING OR BATHING. THE LACQUER FINISH MAY BE DAMAGED BY PROLONGED OR REPEATED WETTING.
