This silver butterfly ring was made to adorn your finger with an amazing piece of art. The wings were hand cut in two sets from 18 gauge silver using a jewelry saw, lots of patience, and very steady hands. A straightforward pierce and cut technique was used to create the cut outs in the wings, before the wings were given a convex shape by hammering in a dabbing block. Besides adding depth, dimension and character to a piece, curved forms produce natural highlights and shadows when light strikes the surfaces.Both sets of wings and a ring shank, which was created by hand using 18 gauge sterling silver wire and a mandrel were soldered together. Next I soldered the stone setting and set the 3mm lab grown pink ruby as a central focal point. Finally the piece was hand polish to a medium luster. The process was very intensive and time consuming, but given the stunning beauty of the final piece, well worth the effort.

The butterfly ring iis a size 7 1/4 and can be ordered in any size you request, but since ring is handmade there will be some variations between each piece. This also gives you the chance to request any customizations or personalized touches.
