Inspired by a ship decorating a 16th century Dutch map, I carved this jaunty vessel in linoleum and printed it in blues on deep blue Japanese unryu 'cloud dragon' paper with visible fibres and a variety of papers. The ship itself and several sails and flags are printed on Japanese washi papers.This multimedia artwork is one of a kind!
