Upcycling is the process of taking something old or used and making it new again and of a greater value than it was originally. This is what we have done with the steel drum material used in this piece.
Photos of the process are shown. We start with a large, recycled steel drum. Burn off the paint and residue, Flatten the drum. Draw the pattern and cut it with hammer and chisel. It is then hand painted and finished with a protective clear finish.
