The jar is marked Ball Perfect Mason on the side. The quart jar is one of the so-called dropped A jars (the "a" in "Ball" starts with an ascender) with an underline. This is a very early machine-made jar. The jar has "Perfect" offset above Mason, which occurred from about 1913 to 1915 (when they remade the mold to center the words). On the bottom, it has the number 6 with an A.
The jar has a zinc lid with porcelain lining, labeled "Ball" on the top.
The jar is in very good condition. It has one small chip on the ring around the top (below where the cap sits).
Size: The quart jar is 7 inches tall x 4 inches wide (17.8 x 10 cm)
