I crocheted this one of a kind (OOAK) rug with salvaged fabric cut into yarn. The teal fabric for this rug came in the form of mill ends, a by-product of manufacturing, where the large spools of fabric are trimmed and the result is a narrow strip of fabric yards and yards and yards long. Essentially waste to the factory, but collected by rug makers to use in rug-making. The pink was a bedsheet, the orange was a t-shirt, and the purple was a fabric remnant, all collected from thrift stores. I washed the fabric and cut it into strips to use as yarn to crochet this rug. Using fabric yarn creates a rug that is thick and soft yet very very durable.
This rug is machine washable and dryable. It measures 26 inches (66 cm) in diameter. Perfect for the bathroom, kitchen, office, living room, bedroom, playroom, nursery, dorm room, or any other room that needs a nice rug or mat.
Additionally, dogs and cats love to sit on these rugs! This rug would make a great pet mat to put on the sofa, a table, or your pet's favorite place to hang out.
The last picture shows the back side of the rug.
