Materials:
Upcycled vintage hardcover book.
Unlined bright white 70 lb text weight paper.
Several feet of linen binding thread hand-dyed with roasted grains.
Dark blue outside edge and golden end paper, cover pattern is white and gold.
Original end paper used to make a small front and back pocket.
I removed the cover from the original book, taking care to keep the end paper intact and used that to create a front and back pocket. The unlined pages are also hand-cut with rounded corners (to minimize corner scrunching), and bound snugly in a Coptic style with hand-dyed linen bookbinding thread. The Coptic binding allows the book to lay flat for easy writing and drawing.
