The whales are hand pierced out of and set in copper. The sea glass is set in fine silver, on sterling ear-wires - hand made by me.
The earrings have been oxidised to a dark bronze colour, then sealed with jewellers wax to protect the finish. The ear wires have also been oxidized to match.
* Please note that the pottery shards are in the exact condition I found them - they have been tumbled by the Thames for many years - the surface may have imperfections but the patterns are beautiful.

Each whale is approx. 1 inch wide, 1/2 inch tall (3.5 cm x 1.5cm)
Ear-wire is a little over 1 inch long (3.5 cm)

Most of the pieces of pottery I have found in the river are between 100 and 200 years old, but some are medieval or even Roman!
Each piece is unique, and each item made will be one of a kind. I love the fact that each piece of pottery is a little bit of hand made history.
