To create this earring organizer, I salvaged a vintage frame and sanded, primed, painted it semi-gloss white, and sprayed on a clear coating. I handmade a clear mesh netting and double reinforced it for extra strength. I then attached the aqua blue background print and picture frame hanger, so the display frame is ready to hang!
The handmade clear mesh gives the display a clean, polished look and allows the earrings and background print to get all the attention. This unique feature allows the display to be seen as a beautiful piece of art when it is hanging on your wall, with or without earrings.
The mesh squares are 0.5" x 0.5" and the frame has a large interior space, so you have plenty of space to hang many earrings. The earrings shown in the picture are large (approx. 1.5" long) so this should give you an idea of the storage capacity.
The backing creates a slight shadow box effect and hides the interior workings. The backing also makes earrings stand out from background print and allows you to easily take earrings in and out of frame.
The bright aqua blue floral print is balanced by the white background and white frame. The complete look gives a pop of color and fun, while maintaining it's clean, polished look. It will look great hanging on your wall, with or without earrings, and with a variety of interior design styles.
