This yarn is a true labor of love. I had some wool that I got from a friend that feels wonderful. It has a really nice crimp and is super fluffy and soft. I don't know what kind of sheep it came from though. I blended this wool on my drum carder with some Coltswold Sheep long curly locks I had dyed electric blue. For the other ply I blended the sheep's wool with some silk cap that was dyed maroon, orange and lavender. You can see in the last picture what they each looked like before spinning. The sheep's wool had lots of short fibers mixed in with the long ones which provided extra texture in this lovely yarn. It sort of reminds me of chenille in a way.
Enjoy this lovely yarn that has a complexity to it you have to see to beleive.
