The tee pee is supported by PVC pipes; when finished playing, simply pull the PVC pipes together, and your tent will easily fit in a small corner of a closet.
Materials Needed for Tent:
1 1/3 yards of fabric x 4 (There are five panels total, but you will use remnants for the door)
1 yard of fabric to make the tubes to hold the PVC poles
Drill & 1/4" drill bit
Two 20" sections of ribbon or twine for the door ties (optional)
One 24" section of rope, twine, or ribbon to connect the PVC pipes at the top of the tee pee
Five PVC pipes that are 3/4" wide and 5' long.
Five 3/4" rubber stoppers or crutch tips (optional)
Additional Fabric is required for ruffles.
Due to the large amount of fabric required to make this tee pee, consider upcycling old curtains duvet covers, and/or sheets. Please note that this tutorial does not include or need pattern pieces. It includes a measurement chart and photo driven guide for all the pieces you need.
Please note: PVC pipes come in 10' sections, and most hardware stores will cut the PVC pipe for you in the store. The pipes should cost less than $10 total.
Additionally, the tent tutorial offer instructions for adding optional ruffles to each panel.
