I was told by some family members who live up in the Aspen area of Colorado (my home town), that there was a wonderful discovery of Mammoth bones as well as Ground Sloth and Saber Tooth Tiger bones...specifically in the Snowmass area a couple of years ago. My siblings told me that I ought to sculpt some Mammoth stuff and since I love prehistoric animals and creatures, I decided to go ahead and do that very thing. So here you have it. A Woolly Mammoth in one small package...a PERFECT paper weight. Do people still use paper? I hope so, because this guy is HEAVY! Don't lob it at anyone! It's lethal! Seriously! At least I tucked the tusks under his chin. Made him easier to mold and cast. Not like the Mammoth Skeleton I did on the other page. Whew! THAT was a job I tell you!

Hey, but I KNOW that there are Mammoth Fans and Collectors out there for sure. So order one today for yourself or for a friend or family member. This guy really is CUTE!

I sculpted him in only a couple of hours out of my special mixture of Super Sculpey, Cernit, and Fimo. I figured out the exact mixture to make my sculpting compound the right texture and hardness which took several years if not decades to get just right. Then I baked him in my little toaster oven (no...I don't cook food in it...gross!) and then I made a Silicon Mold of it and then I injected wax into that mold and waited for it to cool, then I opened it, pulled the cute little guy out and then I took it to the foundry where he was cast in Silicon Bronze Alloy. And now YOU can purchase one from ME!

Here are the weight and dimensions of Willy Mammoth:

Weight: 206 grams = 7.27 ounces (He weighs almost HALF a pound! crazy!)
Measurements: 1 1/2" High X 1 1/8" Wide X 2" Deep
38 mm High X 29 mm Wide 51 mm Deep
