Hand formed and hammered copper rings are layered and soldered together to form rosette / nest like shapes that resemble barnacles when assembled in groups. The piece is then oxidized and washed repeatedly until a pleasing combination of blacks, browns and deep oranges appear. I coat the whole necklace with a sealant to retain the oxidation effect on the surface of the copper. Copper oxidation is sealed for durability.

This piece is 100% hand made by me chain and all in my home studio in Texas.
Like many of my pieces, this necklace is prized for its versatility and durability. It can be worn shorter or longer and can be dressed up for a night at the museum or paired with a t-shirt and jeans. Every piece is made to order and will always be a one of kind. The construction and soldering ensures longevity and durability and lacquer retains the finish and acts as a barrier between the piece and the skin.
