The pattern for the umbrella is from Quilters Newsletter magazine. I carefully placed my favorite striped fabric to try to replicate the stripes on beach umberellas. I also used contrasting polka dotted fabrics on alternating sections of some umbrellas. And the blue swirled border fabric is reminiscent of the ocean. This quilt makes me think of warm summer days at the beach. It measures 28" square.
