I pieced this modern twin quilt together using varying widths and lengths of stripes and checkered woven fabrics. The colors range from blues, browns, orange, reds and purples. I set off the stripes using a khaki solid.
If the front isn't enough, the back is just as beautiful! I machine pieced the back with various shades of neutral colors from cream, khaki to mocha. I pieced a strip of stripes going vertical, and placed it horizontal across the back of the quilt.
I machine quilted the entire quilt with coordinating neutral thread in horizontal straight lines. The binding is a brown woven stripe. I machine stitched the binding to the front and stitched it to the back of the quilt by hand in the traditional manner.
This quilt is the perfect size for a twin bed or if used horizontally, would work very nicely on a full/double bed. It would be a stunning addition to any bed and reversible if you want to change it up!
It has been pre-washed with a fragrance free detergent and tumble dried for that soft crinkled look.

Machine or hand wash gentle, air dry or tumble dry low. Mild detergent if needed. Do not bleach. Gently washing and drying your handmade quilt extends its life.
