The wood for all of my pocket amulets has been wild crafted by my friend Leslie of "Blyth House Creations" in South Carolina. She then sent them to the opposite end of the country to my home in California. These pocket amulets have done a lot of traveling! Once they arrived here I decided to burn into them different symbols to correspond with the wood used as closely as I could make it.
This particular piece has been hand burned with the rune Gebo. Gebo means "gift" or multiple gifts. This rune symbolizes sacrifice and also generosity (BALANCE!), personal relationships, partnerships, connections and more. Each rune means something different to everyone. You decide what it means to YOU.
Magnolia Wood is one tree I have been unable to find much associated with. It IS good for fidelity, strengthening marriages and relationships, bringing love and finally is associated with purity. I personally find it a good wood to use when connecting to the god
All of my wood burned creations have been lightly sanded by hand and rubbed deep with corresponding oils I have made myself.
It measures approximately 1 1/2 centimeters thick and 1 inch in diameter. Please note that none of the pieces I make are perfect. I don't strive to perfect something natural and wild into something that looks manufactured and just like every other one of its kind. I love the character each piece has. Every "flaw" tells a story.
