Part of my Specimens Series 1.0 which explores fascinating materials, and subjects "straight from" a curious biologists lab.
This particular necklace is very dramatic and beautiful. It began with this stunning amethysts slice that has a diagonal pattern of lines of different layers of minerals. I wanted to make sure that the setting would not overpower the stone, so I simply made a container for it one side echoing the diagonal pattern that the stone had itself. I then attached a strong and very long chain to the handmade setting.
This necklace will sure to be the star of your wardrobe!

Pendant itself is 3 x 2 x 0.5 cm or 1 1/8" x 7/8" x 1/8"
Chain is 33" long in total.
This pendant is one of a kind, as there are no 2 Amethyst slices that are exactly the same!
