  • This lil glass ring was constructed in multiple steps. I make all my glass murrini patterns from scratch in a hot glass studio, and the silver settings are designed by me, and hand-made specially for each individual piece.

The process of making glass murrini is a labor-of-love; I start with 3 or 4 various chunks of colored glass. I heat them up individually, and while they're hot, layer them one on top of another (like dip coat for ice cream), and then stretch out the mixed glob of hot glass to a long, thin "cane". I then chop up the "cane" to shorter lengths, stack them back together in a colored cup (looks very much like pencils and pens in a cup), or bind the canes with steel wire. I then load the bundle into a kiln, heat it and stretch the bundle out again into another cane. When the glass is cool, I slice it up (like sushi), and polish each slice. it is only then that i can make different types of jewelry out of them.

The size of this glass stone is approximately 8mm. Ring band sizes vary. Most are between a size 6-7 but can be adjusted at no extra cost. Please send me a convo if you're interested in this ring and I can tell you its available band sizes.
