A vintage reverse carved glass pin with a rose design. This style of pin is sometimes called "goofus glass" and is created by carving an image into glass and then painting it, giving the image a three-dimensional effect. This pin is oval in a decorative brass frame. The glass is domed and shallowly scalloped at the edges. The painted rose branch, buds and bloom are backed with shimmering mother of pearl. The paint is vibrant red and green and overall condition is excellent. Secures with a pin and "c" clasp.
