This is a delicate handmade christening gown from the 1930s or 1940s. The round neckline is scalloped as are the capped sleeves and hemline. There is also a beautiful hand stitched embroidery design around the neckline and down the middle front of the bodice. The back of the gown is fastened with a row of 3 small buttons. The gown is made of a light weight cotton handerchief fabric and so a petticoat may need to be worn under the gown. This gown is approximately 6-12 months size however, please see measurements below for correct fit.

There is one tiny pin hole size wear spot on the upper front left side of the bodice which was too small to capture on film.
