My friend carefully picked this wool from an organic sheep farm in the eastern Finland. Then she dyed it with hand picked lichen from Finnish nature. After dyeing, the locks were carded by a small carding company in Finland for us.

RARE BREED - GREY FINNSHEEP
This wool is from the breed called Grey Finnsheep, also called as Kainuu Grey or Kainuun Harmas. It is a different breed from commonly known Finnsheep. It is a rare breed which has finer fur than the ordinary Finnsheep. Grey Finnsheep are usually seen in different shades of grey and with black face and feet. Some are born greyish white as the sheep this wool is from.
