These hats are so adorable on and perfect for the cold weather!
In this tutorial I give you detailed, step by step instructions with many colored photos, on how to make the owl aviator hat, aviator goggles hat, and the plain aviator hat. You will also be given two options on the owl ear placement. You will receive actual pattern pieces that you can print from your home computer using regular 8.5x11" computer paper.
Level: Intermediate
This is for a seamstress that has some experience with sewing and is comfortable sewing around curves. These instructions are for sewing the owl face and/or goggles, but you can hand stitch them on if you prefer, just follow the same steps on how to add each piece.
Materials:
For all sizes you will need 1/2 yard of the main hat fleece
1/4 yard of tan fleece for the owl face
1/4 yard of pink fleece for owl ears
felt needed for owl face: 1 pink, 1 black, 1 white
felt needed for aviator goggles: 1 brown, 1 cream
basic sewing supplies
