When I first found this dress it originally had self covered buttons like the ones still found on the tiny jacket pockets. Several were missing. My intern and I found period 1940s cut glass buttons for the front and some molded glass buttons for the shoulder detail on the jacket. There were also self covered buttons near the neckline of the dress that were replaced with 1940s glass buttons.
Labeled (in jacket only): Nathalie Nicoli California. It also bears the National Recovery Board Coat and Suit Industry Consumer Protection label ensuring this well made garment was manufactured under fair labor standards and someone was once paid a living wage to make it.

Excellent vintage condition. The pin appears to be missing from the belt, but other than that, I can't seem to find any flaws. We did replace the original fabric covered buttons as mentioned above. Frankly, I find the glass buttons an upgrade.
