This is a soft plush, fur felted, bucket cloche style hat by Frederic & Nelson, Seattle. The top of the hat has an obscured label under the grosgrain ribbon but I can make out Made In Italy and this would refer to the actual fur felt the hat is made of as the union tag says made in USA. The colors are wonderful Autumn shades of caramel tan, golden, burnt orange, russet and green and the crown is surrounded by raised puffed pears, strawberries and leaves, so pretty! Tagged a size 22. This 60s style will sit a little higher on an average head than my bald mannequin.

The circumference around the inner band is 21 inches (53.34 cm)
Crown height at tallest in front - 3 3/4 inches (9.53 cm)
Frederick & Nelson was the big department store in Seattle until about 1996 when the building was sold to Nordstrom. The store was started in 1890-91 and is part of Seattle's history, and a rich history it is.
