Own a little piece of literature history with this miniature doll Sappho, the female Greek poet!
I created Sappho in a white draping toga with azure blue draped fabric. A wide bronze sash with oval pearly accent sides adds to her waistline, Her hair is hand styled, face painted by hand, and a bronze chain choker necklace add a special touch. For added flair, I added a tablet with some Greek letters and a stylus too!
Sappho was an Ancient Greek poet. Greeks included her in the list of nine lyric poets. Her birth was somewhere approximately between 630 and 612 BC, and it is said that she died around 570 BC, but not many facts are known for certain about her life. The biggest part of of her poetry, which was well-known and greatly admired, has been lost, but her very large reputation has endured through surviving fragments found here and there.
