These Deco Lotus Earrings were published in Beadwork Magazine, Oct/Nov 09 issue. These large earrings feature smooth labradorite marquis drop beads that are more dark than flashy, but still with a nice shiny polish. (One of them has a bright blue flash if you catch the light just right.) The shiny metallic seed beads were chosen to match the earthy colors of the natural stones. The smallest seed beads are woven double thick to give the earrings some stiffness so that they keep their shape. At the same time, the bead work is slightly flexible, and looks the same from the front and the back.
The ear wires and jump rings are sterling silver.
The earrings are 3 cm wide (1.25 inches).
Length of earrings from top of ear wire is 7 cm (almost 3 inches long).
