Simple white circles each individually hand-painted from both sides in happy light winter colors threaded on a hardly visible nylon thread. That is what this is - technically. But when you look at it you see the delicate sway of the strings with each disc 'dancing' on it's own in the breeze.
Inspired by Scandinavian design I chose to use simple shapes on a plain white background and decorated it with artful and subtle winter designs that give the mobile a luxurious feel.

The disc are all handmade (no ready bought elements) with a nicely matt finish and contrasted gorgeously by the brilliant glossy colors of the paint.
Everything has been formed, cut and polished by hand. And the little imperfections make it visibly a high-quality handmade item.

I mix my colours individually to achieve different nuances. There is no plan upfront for the separate discs. Each one receives it's character when it lies before me. And if I am not happy, they get polished clean and I start over until they are ready 'to get baked'.

Please note that is a purely decorative item and NOT SUITED as a toy due to small elements and delicate making in order to achieve this light and weightless appearance.

Size/Weight/Dimensions
The discs are between 1 and 4cm in diameter.
Threaded on nylon string in alternate colours and painted from both side to give this richness of colour.

Materials utilised
polymer clay, nylon, silver squeezing beads, pine wood, light yellow satin ribbon.

Production method
Each ceramic element is handmade.
