A bicycle skirt guard allows you to ride your bike wearing a skirt, coat, or dress without it getting caught in the spokes. I remember utilitarian skirt guards from my childhood in England; I have updated them here as a fun fashion statement.
The Screaming Fluorescent Orange bicycle skirt guard is made of an all-purpose 100% polyester mesh often used for pockets in luggage and also for safety vests. It is strong and durable with some stretch. The sides are edged with black fold-over elastic or a black frill elastic, your choice. Please let me know which you would like when ordering.
The bicycle must have a fender on the back wheel and a chain guard. Each skirt guard comes gift wrapped with fitting instructions included with every order.
The skirt guard is attached to the bike with heavyweight round elastic that is drawn up and secured by a cord stop on either side. It will fit a range of adult tire sizes 26 – 28 inches. Shown on a 26-inch wheel.
All are machine washable in cold water, hang to dry. I can treat them with Scotch Guard to protect against grease and dirt on request.
Each skirt guard is made in two parts that snap together on the chain side. A bike lock can be inserted through the wheel at that point.
