If you are a Harry Potter fan like me, then you have heard of Butterbeer! This iconic beverage features heavily in both the books and the films (and sounds like it would taste fantastic)! Having already created miniature versions of Pumpkin Juice, Chocolate Frogs, and Bertie Botts Every Flavor beans, I knew I had to make a miniature bottle of Butterbeer! I started with a delicate miniature bottle made of handblown glass in a 1/12 (one inch) scale. I made the "beer" inside the bottle from a mixture of glaze and carefully selected shades of oil paint. After filling each bottle with this rich butterscotch colored liquid (no easy task), I wait about a week for it to solidify in the bottle. After that, I make teeny tiny bottle caps out of polymer clay and glue them to the top of the bottle. The finishing step is to add the Three Broomsticks Butterbeer labels, which I brush with a thin layer of glaze to give them a subtle glossy appearance. The labels are really fantastic looking and were designed by the very talented Lauren Smith (of Lauren Smith Creative) who generously allowed me to use them for making these miniature bottles! :) You can find out more about her wonderful work on her website: http://laurensmithcreative.com

These tiny bottles of Butterbeer are so much fun and would look awesome in your miniature scene! They would also be a really cool gift for any Harry Potter fan! Each bottle is made of handblown glass and measures between 0.93 inches and 1.13 inches tall. The base of each bottle is roughly 0.25 inches wide. Due to their small and delicate nature, these miniature bottles of Butterbeer are perfect for adults and are intended for display. Each bottle will vary slightly due to its handmade nature, but not more than what you see in the photos.

Please note: This auction is for ONE miniature bottle of Butterbeer only. Other items are shown for display purposes only. The lid is permanantly attached to the bottle and cannot be removed. The "butterbeer" inside the bottle is solid (though it has the look of liquid). Over time, the lowest level of the "butterbeer" can sometimes take on a lighter, more cream colored tone than the rest of the "butterbeer" in the bottle. This has only happened once, but it is a possibility and is not something that I can predict.
