vintage bakelite necklace / 1930s jewelry / BUTTERSCOTCH ROSE

A delicate 1930s vintage necklace with carved bakelite roses and decorative links. The chain is made of short, dainty, hand-coiled brass links. The necklace features three carved bakelite roses, each one butterscotch colored and flat-backed. The butterscotch roses are spaced with flat, pierced links. Four of these are oval with scalloped edges and the larger link - suspending the terminating rose - has a more elaborate design with leaves at the center. All the links are enameled in cream and pink. There is some loss to the enamel but otherwise this piece is in excellent condition. Secures with the original spring ring clasp.
