Here is my cheer to the beautiful summery day dresses of the mid-1930s, in its bias and plaid glory. It is made of light-weight cotton, balloon sleeves, slightly gathered at the top, wide rounded collar, a bow , high up , very typical of the era, with hook fastening. Snap fastening at the side seam.
Other noteworthy details are the peaked art deco-style seaming on the skirt, down the front, the two original vintage bakelite buttons on the geometric front collar panels, and the celluloid buckle on the thin belt.
