Our vinyl has a MATTE finish and can go on any CLEAN, smooth, dry, non-porous surface (wall, glass, tile, plastic, etc.). It is removable although not reusable or re-positionable. Matte finish vinyl has low adhesion properties, making it the ideal medium for decorating that’s fun, affordable and has the ability to be short term. This is a great option for renters, dorm rooms and weddings. While also having the ability to last for several years, it’s also a great option for homeowners. There is a cloud in the silver lining of matte finish vinyl. That low adhesion property can get in the way as it may not stick to all paint finishes and brands of paint.
Our vinyl will stick to MOST painted surfaces, however, we cannot guarantee that it will stick to all painted surfaces. Our homes and our offices are painted with satin finish latex paints and we have not had problems. However, we are hearing that customers are having problems with the new Teflon paint and washable paint (paint geared towards children’s rooms), and in some cases flat finish paint. In this case we STRONGLY recommend that you contact us PRIOR to purchase for a free sample (US customers only). Unfortunately we cannot accept returns or offer exchanges on products that will not adhere. Please ask for a sample prior to ordering so that you may test adhesion properties on your painted surface.
