I have an old American recipe for "Federal Blueberry Jam" that balances bright lime juice with the faintest hint of cinnamon, making a blueberry jam that is warm and surprising. Fittingly, I handpicked fruit from Homestead Farms in Potomac, Maryland--which has been owned and farmed by the same family since before the Revolutionary War. I feel safe saying that George Washington himself would cross the Delaware for intoxicating jam.
