Knit with a blend of soft, eco-friendly yarns that have been dyed by hand, these longies feature a wraparound tree full of ripe, delicious, (well, at least they look delicious!) felt-beaded "apples."
The ribbed drawstring waistband ensures a perfect fit every time, and plenty of room to grow. Crotch gusset and extra rows in the back give baby plenty of room to do what babies do best -- wiggle, run and play!
The seed-stitched cuffs fold up and down to allow for a more customizable length; when folded down they provide an extra inch to get your baby through those mid-winter growth spurts.

SIZING AND CUSTOMIZATION

I can knit your soaker up in any size -- just specify what size you would like in the comments section when you make your purchase.
I have come up with a sizing chart based on generally-accepted clothing and diaper sizes (and my experience knitting for my little one as she has grown!). However, I know that babies come in all different shapes and sizes. If you would like to order a size based upon the following chart, great! If you would rather give me specific measurements to work from, also great! I just need your baby's "hip" measurement (around the middle of the hip/butt area), "rise" measurement (from belly button to small of back, top to bottom through the crotch area), and "leg opening" measurement (around the chunkiest part of their thigh).
NEWBORN (If your baby wears newborn-3 month clothing, this size should fit.)
Hip: 12-14 inches Crotch/Rise: 12 inches Leg opening: 6 inches
SMALL (If your baby wears 6 month clothing, this size should fit.)
Hip: 14-16 inches Crotch/Rise: 14 inches Leg opening: 7 inches
MEDIUM (If your baby wears 9-12 month clothing, this size should fit.)
Hip: 16-18 inches Crotch/Rise: 16 inches Leg opening: 8 inches
LARGE (If your baby wears 12-18 month clothing, this size should fit.)
Hip: 18-20 inches Crotch/Rise: 18 inches Leg opening: 9 inches
X-LARGE (If your baby wears 2T clothing this size should fit.)
Hip: 20-22 inches Crotch/Rise: 20 inches Leg opening: 10 inches
I will wash and lanolize your soaker prior to shipment so it will be ready to wear upon arrival, unless you specify otherwise. I use a natural, mild and unscented wool wash, and lanolize with liquid lanolin.
