Turquoise Bohemian Necklace

This stunning bohemian necklace is made from turquoise magnesite, lava stone, bone, dark blue jasper and wood. The wooden beads are recycled from vintage necklaces.

I made this necklace on nylon coated wire to give it strength and shape, then added hemp string to the ends, to give it a rustic look. There is no clasp, you simply tie the hemp in a knot or bow. This also means you can vary the length easily. The shortest length you can make it is 50cm.

This necklace is asymmetrical and the focal bead (the carved wooden bead) is not central - a statement necklace.
