Favorite Recipes of the Hamburg United Presbyterian Church is a hand-made, self-published book (1973) compiled by “The Cook Book committee of the Women's Association of the Hamburg United Presbyterian Church.”
A true gem, this book was created by the wives and women of the Hamburg church. Each recipe is attributed to one of the congregation member, complete with pictures and earnest charm.
This one of a kind book, a celebration of food, women and religion, was only received in 1973 by the congregation members of the Hamburg United Presbyterian Church, with such wonderful recipes as:
- Jim Snedecor's Anchovy Spread
- Spiced Fruit Sour (for ham)
- Old Pa Goulash with “New Twist”
- Turkish Hash Deluxe
- Tally-Ho Tomato Pudding
- Watermelon Pickles
In all our travels we've never seen another book like this.
CONDITION: This book is lovingly bound by hand, an the front cover has some tearing, but remains intact and attached.
