Designed for the inner gypsy, the traveler/explorer, the eccentric.
For this cuff, I have created a multi-bangle effect, yet the "bangles" are all spaced and adhered to rods so that they stay in place and together. I have always loved the look of multiple bangles worn on the arm, but I always lose them and am not fond of the constant up and down clanking that occurs all day long while wearing them, hence my bangle copper cuff design was born.

►This particular design is inspired by gypsies and vagabonds that travel the world playing music, selling wears or dancing. I have read one tradition of wearing bangles (churi) that is an indian one, where it is a symbol of matrimony. The traditional churi bangles are made of glass and Indian women will try to wear as many small glass bangles as possible at her wedding and the honeymoon will end when the last bangle breaks. I have seen images of belly dancers wearing bangles as well, and on further research found that many would wear bangles because of the ability to shake the wrists to create a jingling sound while dancing. I love that there is a strong tradition of women wearing bangles and I think they look beautiful on everyone.
This design is 100% made by me in my Tx studio from reclaimed copper.
