The impressive plastic ashtray from the Synthesis Collection designed by Ettore Sottsass for Olivetti in the early 1970s.
Near perfect condition save the fact that the corners of the top component have a slight upward flare. I have three of these and they all are identical in this respect. The deep brown color of the melamine is warm and vibrant. There are no scratches. Also, I can see no signs of it ever serving as an ashtray.
