button pouch made of vintage fabrics

Sometimes I'm reluctant to cut into favorite vintage textiles, but it seems not quite right to leave pretty, old fabrics folded up in an armoire where they aren't often seen or touched. With that in mind, I made this little pouch.

It's lined, so there are no visible seams on the inside, and all of the fabrics used were found in France. It's great for holding all kinds of things that might otherwise get easily lost, including sewing notions, embroidery supplies, jewelry and whatnot.

6" x 5.5" (15 x 14 cm)

Please note, in the photos it appears to be white, but the color is actually ecru.
