Title: Classical Curves (guitar and nude)
Size: ACEO, 2.5" x 3.5"
Materials: watercolour paper, speedball watersoluble printers ink, carving block is 'softoleum' (a softer un-backed type of linoleum), gelatin plate.

This is a monoprint, built up of several unique layers of ink, no two alike with the top layer being a hand-pressed relief linocut. I use a gelatin as a printing surface, where ink can be rolled, pressed, and manipulated creating a new design every time, building up layers of ink by overprinting one image on top of the other.

Classical Curves asks the question, are guitars male or female? I'll let you decide, but confess that my guitars are named Edward and Edwin. Edward sleeps in a velvet case, and Edwin sleeps in furs.

Every hand-pulled print is a unique work of art.

This ACEO is signed on the back. (This time around, there's an image on the back too (I'm a rabid recycler), and while I can mount this onto pristine white paper at your request, it makes things interest. If you want it covered, let me know)

ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". These cards can be made in different media and styles but have one main rule- they are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches - the size of a trading card. Their small size makes ownership of original art affordable; perfect for collecting, trading, display and gift-giving.

ACEO's are shipped in a rigid plastic mailer.
