Each space has an inlaid wood block on which the shell is mounted. It comes ready for hanging. It requires a secure, heavy duty picture hook, nailed or screwed into a wood stud. I think of them relating to Egyptian art and the art of Joseph Cornell.
You may find imitations of mine but they are simple, lacking my shell cutting skills, and are not usually framed. Mine are signed and dated by a former National Endowment for the Arts recipient.
The pieces shown are previously sold. Each version is different. This is a custom order and you should contact me before ordering. The time needed is dependent on my schedule.
