Framed in a medium size hoop, it is made from a mix of vintage and new materials.
The body of the caravan is made from vintage cotton (Jonelle Duracolour), and appliqued onto stripy turquoise Irish linen. The green shutters and purple interior are made from new fabric printed in the heart of the Welsh countryside.
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a freehand embroidery foot. I cut the fabric to be appliqued and draw freehand straight onto the fabric using black thread.
This piece is mounted on a medium 8"/21cm embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
The last two photos are to help you get an idea of the size of this hoop.
Ready to hang.
Made to order - estimated dispatch time 2-3 days.
Each hoop is unique due to the nature of freehand machine embroidery, which I think adds to the charm. There will be slight variations from the photos shown.
