I learned ceramics like an old-school apprentice, at the feet of my grandmother who had a studio in the 1950s and 1960s, and many of the pieces I make are from now-vintage molds that she bought then. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio. If you are interested in a set of bowls of a different color than offered, or a set of more than two, please feel free to contact me for a custom order. Custom orders need a turnaround of 4-5 weeks to allow time for multiple firings.
There are no markings on this mold to indicate what company it is from or what year it came out; I can only guess that my grandmother purchased the mold some time in the late 50’s or early 60’s. It’s an easy mold to pour and I like that the lip has an almost hand-thrown unevenness to it.
