"Hope is the thing with feathers that perches on the soul. . ." ~emily dickenson. A lark bunting perched on a South Dakota prairie fence post photograph that I took in the summer of 2011 is the focal point of this mixed media collage on a 7x7 block of wood. Background is layers of vintage book pages, wall paper samples, acrylic paint, and oil pastels. Photo is mounted on painted chipboard and nailed to the board to add rustic charm.
