This piece is roughly 5 inches by 5 inches at its widest points. The central rose is just over 2 inches in diameter and has a black bead in the centre. The cards are covered with white silk and backed with white felt. There is a large alligator clip to hold the piece securely to your hair.
Please bear in mind that the colours you see on your screen may not exactly match the appearance of the kanzashi 'in the flesh', though I have tried to show them as accurately as possible!

Kanzashi are Japanese hair ornaments. Hana kanzashi means ‘flower kanzashi’ and simply refers to the flower shape of the hair accessories. Tsumami kanzashi means kanzashi that are made by pinching silk to form petals and is the Japanese traditional craft which inspires my own kanzashi.
