Many of them won't, purely out of greed or ignorance.

An exquisite find, in excellent wearable condition.
The lenses are virtually scratch free,
The Eyewear show this year, was loaded with European vendors, who are showing frames such as these, that would retail for well over $300 in high end optical shops here in NYC.
The frame is in better than excellent, pre-owned condition.
I have polished the frame, and have cleaned and polished the studs on the front and temples , (after these photos were taken), so they actually look shiny and silver.
I have reshaped the frame to fit around an average sized temple length.
Yet kept the integrity of the 1930's temple shape it was originally meant to be.
5 barrel silver metal hinges are tight and working as they should.
They are secured to the frame with a pair of silver studs on the front and temple arms.
Frames straightened and ready for your prescription if you want.
Glass lenses are a slight prescription to improve distance vision for those of you who wear reading glasses of a strength of say 2.50 for close up reading, as I do. When I put these on, it clears up my distance vision with no distortion. When I wear these, I can read things 10 feet away, when I couldn't read before..
With that said, they may be a +1.00 or +1.25 prescription for far sighted folks.

Aprox. Opthalmic measurements as follows:
Frames measure 5" across, tip to tip ( about 127mm).
Hinge to hinge measurement is 4 3/4" (120mm)
Bridge DBL (distance between lenses) is 25mm.
Distance between the keyhole bridge space is about 16mm.
(both measurements above, taken across the center of the frame).
Lens width is (1 1/2") 38mm,
360 degree round.
Temple length is (5 5/8") 145mm, from hinge to end, including ear curve..
Pupil to pupil distance is just over 2 1/2" (65mm)
Generally, full, round specs are a good shape, for long,
oval faces like mine.

Please make sure your optician will happily fill your prescription, with frames you walk in with. I guarantee that my frames are optical quality.
Online lens replacement labs are generally cheaper than brick and mortar eyeglass chain stores when it comes to filling your prescription.

Ask for photographs of me wearing them, (if necessary).
Please measure a pair of your own frames, to see if these will fit you,
as not all heads are the same size.
Print out this listing, and make sure your optician will put lenses into frames that you walk into their establishment with. Many are not taking kindly to this, as they will tell you just about anything, to get you to buy their own frames.
If they tell you that they cannot do it, take these babes elsewhere, or send them to an online optical lab. Many online places will happily do it for less.
